In the April Turnkey Sports Poll, a survey of senior-level executives and owners which probes the hottest issues inside sports, 33.2% listed legal experience as the most important qualification.
While legal experience ranked first, front office and league executive experience was just behind at 29.6% and union experience registered with 19.3% of voters. Playing experience was the only other answer to register more than 5% at 5.8%.
