One good thing about this recession, it seems to be spurring creative ideas in the sports industry.
One of the more interesting ideas that caught my eye is a plan by the Milwaukee Brewers to convert Miller Park into a drive-in movie theater for a couple of weekends this summer.
A full-size screen will be erected and the stadium’s parking lot will serve as the venue for the cars, which will be charged $20 per couple. Fans will be treated to double-features on June 5-6 and August 7-8.
I think the idea could get some new people out to the stadium and perhaps will add interest in attending Brewers games. It certainly should put a good taste in everyone’s mouth, probably a popcorn taste to be exact.
