SportsPro Magazine features impressive look

From Frank Angst, About.com GuideJuly 26, 2009

In researching a story on SportsPro Media publications, I noticed an offer for a free issue of the industry magazine that focuses on sports business and sponsorships.

The issue arrived on Thursday. Considering the cutbacks being made at many print publications, the issue was a pleasant surprise. The July-August issue of the magazine features thick glossy pages, interesting features, great organization, and frequent use of photos.

The issue included a feature on the top 200 most valuable sports properties, an article that clearly required long hours of research. The top sports property? The National Football League at $4.5-billion.

I would recommend the magazine to sports business professionals. If you’re a student and can’t afford the subscription price, I’m sure your school will have some issues available.

SportBusiness International is more authoritative and better value and with jobs and tenders on its website (www.sportbusiness.com) more useful if you’re trying to get into the industry
