Sports Psychology Programs

From , former About.com Guide

Several United States colleges and universities offer sports study programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels that include study on sports psychology.

Students who earn a masters degree or Ph.D. in sports psychology can become sports psychologists, helping athletes achieve their best. Some sports psychology study also can benefit coaches of individual and team sports, strength and performance trainers, and others who work with top athletes.

There are several traditional and online universities that prepare students in sports psychology.

About.com guide to graduate schools, Tara Kuther, Ph.D., offers some advice toward applying for graduate schools with sports psychology programs.

I plan to research and profile some of these school programs.
